Meet The Team

PGA Professional Ian Wrigley joined Dunham Forest as a young assistant professional in 1967 under Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas. In 1972 he left to become the Professional at Vale do Lobo in Portugal's Algarve. He returned to Dunham the following year to play tournament golf. In 1976 he set up a video golf centre in the Midland Hotel and divided his time between teaching and organising corporate golf events. In 1983 he returned to his roots and rejoined Dunham as Professional. He is a qualified PGA and R & A referee and is one of only 3 British club professionals to be invited to officiate at the USPGA Championship.

PGA Professional Paul Dennis has proved a great asset since arriving at Dunham from The Craythorne Golf Club in Staffordshire in January of 2001. He turned Professional after a successful amateur career representing his County at all levels. Since arriving at Dunham he has gained a reputation as a fine golf teacher and under his guidance the Junior section has made great strides. (Though do not try to book a lesson if his beloved Manchester United are playing.)

Paul Barrow is our newest member of staff. He lives in Flixton and plays his golf at Davyhulme Park. He currently has a handicap of 6 and has completing his National Diplome of Golf Studies at Myerscough College in Preston

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Dunham's faithful friend, Stella. Mike and Lesley Saxon, our Club Steward and his wife will miss their loving pet and I am sure everyone joins in offering them our sympathy.
